Description
Dr. James Drake is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry and psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Urbana, IL. He completed his medical degree at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, MI. He went on the complete his residency in general surgery at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria, IL. Dr. Drake's medical interests include colon diseases and foregut surgery. He finds hernia anatomy particular fascinating. When he is not working, Dr. Drake enjoys spending time with his family and pets. He also enjoys cooking. "I enjoy helping my patients improve their health. It gives me satisfaction when I am able to relieve their pain or easing their anxiety."
